OUR FIRST COLLECTION

The art
All of my art pieces always start with inspiration of a colourway, with a general direction for whether it is going to be abstract or floral. I was feeling very inspired by Monet and Van Gogh during this season, and therefore everything references wild florals. The pieces chosen for the first collection are Shining bright, Wildflower, and Vase of Wonder 🌸🌼 They all felt bright, happy and had a depth of colour that translated really well to fabric.

The Fabric
Once the art pieces were made in to a repeat, the fabric was chosen and printed. Many test prints were done over 6 months before the perfect GSM (fabric thickness) and softness was found. Once the fabrics were signed off, we could then work on the final dress designs.
THE FASHION
Last but not least, the designing and sampling process took 6 months (it felt like forever!) and we landed on our first two designs. It was a labour of love but we absolutely adore the final product. We wanted the dresses to be comfy, easy to wear, but eye-catching and different.
